About me
Hai! My name is Twan Plönes, and I am born in August 1995, therefore I'm the oldest and wisest in the band!
I've been playing guitar since I was 13 years old. The reason I started playing guitar is my old music teacher on high school. He started playing Hendrix and I was immediately sold.
I wasn't a metalhead really until I started listening to Metallica's St. Anger (Yes, I know...) and then the world opened up.
I learned everything there was from Metallica, and I wanted to be like James Hetfield.
Furthermore, I started my own band (Die For The Purpose Of Living) when I was 18/19 years old and needed another guitarist, Hai Leon! And the rest is history.
I generally listen to melodic black metal, the likes of MGLA, UADA, Harakiri For The Sky, Sylvaine, Alcest, but also I've got a soft spot for U2 and Editors.
Sometimes I won't listen to any music at all, just to get inspired by my own thoughts and prayers. Which is bloody awful sometimes.
Playing in Serotonia is a way to express myself. And playing with these girls and guy really makes me feel awesome. What ever our future will bring, it'll be bright and probably very drunk!
