ABOUT US:
SEROTONIA began in 2021 as a project to create energetic music that we as band members love to make, but also have a huge entertaining aspect as one of our core beliefs in the band. Making, creating and rehearsing your own songs should be fun and satisfying. This is one of the reasons we are not sticking to one genre, we really like to experiment a lot of genres and blend them together to create something new, weird or very fun to play and listen to.

We consist of five members with all different personalities, putting these people in one room together is generally a bad idea as things get escalated quickly in a good way.
Besides being a band, we are also great friends.
As our guitarist Mick likes to point out: "Our drinking team has a music problem"

SEROTONIA is always down for a laugh with inspiring music and immersive shows! We are persistently working on new sounds, mixing different styles and creating a unique experience. With our latest single Lifeline and upcoming extended play: World At War, listeners are treated to a variety of different genres blended together.

HISTORY:
On January 2021 we have released our first demo single called Hate and soon after that we put Hourglass on the map. This was a good first foundation on what kind of music we wanted to create and which direction we wanted to go. After months of writing and rehearsing we had our debut show at the Herrie Festival in Alkmaar (NL) in 2022, the momentum really picked up from there. In 2023 we competed in the National Wacken Metal Battle and we made it to the finals, this was our first sold-out show. In that same year we have also released our first videoclip called Shrunken Head and playing various shows in a lot of different venues and locations. ​On january 15th of 2024 we have released our first extended play: CHOICES, which laid a great roadmap and expansion of our core library. The same year we released our fourth single called LifeLine. This made a trend of creating artwork of a mysterious man watching from his back or shoulders into an ever changing scene of joy or despair. Armed with a new logo and brand new merchandise, SEROTONIA will release it's fifth single on April 14th 2025 called: Lost at Sea and the second extended play World at War is to be released in May of the same year.
