Hourglass

Hourglass is about the world being divided. People are too fond of believing in whatever fits their
narrative and there is no room for nuance. But while we bicker among ourselves, the world doesn’t
become better for it. Yeah, what else would we quote? “Show me where it all began.”

Lyrics
Show me where it all began A provocative appearance makes its way to the gold An intermediate fool is back home watching the show The fractured timeline is created to appear as a whole What's left goes right into the middle of an alien world The wretched tyrants live well hidden as they're behind the scenes All the sleepers dream of something to find their liberty It must be easy feeling down to earth if you're on your knees Why give up your life for someone you will never please The poison is in all of us Our bodies are turning to dust Taking too much time to put ourselves in a rush Can't stop to witness our minds being crushed We're told salvation is imminent We don't see our doom, believe we're innocent What is judgement in a system of ignorance We fear the chaos if we choose to take our chance Assimilation of a weaker population is due The lies are spoon fed and the blind don't care about what is true The tides are turning and the Earth is only running on fumes As we divide ourselves the human race is struck by the blues Inform the mass about the fact that they've been living confused Erratic and offensive manners only lead to abuse The road has split in two and we can't seem to call it a truce Every action has reactions and they will light the fuse The skies have never been this gray No hurricane can blow the ashes away No lungs to breathe and there is no escape Eyes covered in dust our vision is in decay Listen to the future you'll hear your children cry All our hope is gone just like our chance to say goodbye The facts and the truth fade in the lies Love fell into poverty and soon the last will die You've shown me where it all began But all I see is where it ends
